At Sure Pass Driving School, we offer professional instructor training and driving lessons in both automatic and manual modes, with an emphasis on affordability and quality.
The ADI Part 2 Driving Ability Test is the second stage of qualifying as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). It is designed to assess whether you can drive to the high professional standard expected of a driving instructor.
During the test, you’ll complete approximately 60 minutes of driving on a variety of road types, including urban, rural and higher-speed roads. You’ll also demonstrate your ability to drive independently by following a sat-nav, complete a reversing manoeuvre, answer vehicle safety (“Show Me, Tell Me”) questions and, if selected, carry out an emergency stop.
The examiner will assess every aspect of your driving, including:
* Observation and effective mirror use
* Planning and anticipation
* Speed management
* Road positioning and lane discipline
* Vehicle control
* Safe judgement at junctions and roundabouts
* Consideration for other road users
* Smooth, safe and confident driving
To pass the test, you must demonstrate a consistently high standard of driving with no serious or dangerous faults and no more than six driving faults.
At Safe Path Driving School, our ADI Part 2 training is tailored to help you develop the advanced driving skills, confidence and knowledge needed to pass the test and prepare for a successful career as a driving instructor.
