The ADI Part 1 Theory Test is the first stage of qualifying as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). It is designed to assess your knowledge of driving theory, road safety, instructional techniques and hazard awareness.

The test consists of two parts:

* Multiple-choice questions covering the Highway Code, road procedures, traffic signs, vehicle safety, driving techniques and instructional knowledge.
* Hazard perception test, where you’ll identify developing hazards by watching a series of video clips and responding at the correct time.

Both parts of the test must be passed to progress to ADI Part 2.
